The Group Training in the Trades Programme (GTTP) assists eligible Participants to undertake an Australian Apprenticeship in the trades by providing opportunities by either:

providing Participants with pre-vocational training in the trades in order to gain the required pre-requisites to articulate into an Australian Apprenticeship in the trades; or
allowing students to undertake an Australian School-based Apprenticeship in the trades whilst still at school undertaking their year 11 and 12 higher school certificate.
Particular focus will be given to trade areas which are experiencing skill shortages or where Australian Apprenticeships in the trades are being under serviced in particular areas especially through School-Based New Apprenticeships.
